April 16 (Reuters) - Network access equipment maker Adtran Inc. (ADTN.O: Quote, Profile , Research) posted a higher first-quarter profit helped by tax and life-insurance benefits and better-than-anticipated revenue. The company earned $16.9 million, or 24 cents a share, compared with $16.3 million, or 21 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue rose to $110.3 million from $108.6 million.

Analysts on average expected the Huntsville, Alabama-based company to earn 20 cents a share, excluding items, on revenue of $105.9 million, according to Reuters Estimates. (Reporting by Savio D'Souza in Bangalore)

i was in its call options, because it is very very near in-money.
i love near in-money options, like when the stock is 25.xx 30.xx, otherwise, i will buy its shares instead of options. option's spread is too much, commion is too much and time value is too much.
