I won't mention any names but there are several prop firms in Chicago that cater to derivatives traders. Stay away from the futures shops and the stock firms. Most people here know I run an office in Chicago. But I also know several others which you might want to check out. There are actually quite a few of them, they just don't advertise a lot. Feel free to PM me. The guys in the SPX pit on the floor are still doing well. As are the Eurodollar options traders at the Merc.
 
Agreed, spx and euro options are the best pits. Looks like the merc is increasing incentives to attract more flow to the electronic system. Spx pit is overflowing with people.

talent and a very comprehensive pay package...

3 weeks off full insurance and you could learn the biz if you wanted to...

all my business was pro so you actually could learn alot...

i grew up with 4 older sisters so they liked the idea of working with the other chicks...

they would show up even if hung over...most guys just called in with irish flu...

worked for me...

got a lot of them married off too...:D
