Wait till the taxpayers get hit with the bill when the government has to bailout the insurance companies. All their models will be thrown out the window when they realize their insured pools are not insurable at the current prices being offered because they failed to draw the younger, healthier into the system.

On Tuesday, the White House called the report misleading and inaccurate, but they also took the odd step of praising the disincentives contained within the ACA to leave the labor market.

Lisa Desjardins reported that the CBO report indicates that more workers will choose to leave the labor market because they no longer have to depend on their employer to provide them with health insurance. She noted that the White House pushed back on that report by claiming that Americans taking advantage of the opportunity to abandon the workforce was a welcome development.

Huh?

Actually, no "huh"! It would just add more voters on the Dumbocratic side of the fence. They'll do anything to buy votes whether it costs taxpayers an enormous amount of $$$. Unless Odumbocare is radically changed it will collapse financially and the end subscribers buying insurance will see their premiums skyrocket so much they'll decide they can't afford it, even those with subsidies. So we may well be in much worse shape in a few years than if we had never hard of Odumbocare.

This whole issue was so simple to "fix". Allow people to buy ANY policy they wanted. Healthy people would chose high deductible policies in many cases. Sickly people would chose what gave them the most coverage for the least $$. And I still maintain that we need to either reward people for practicing a healthy lifestyle or penalize people who never get off the couch, eat crappy food and CHOOSE to bring on pre-exisiting conditions. Until there is personal responsibility many will choose to go through life being slobs since they'll get bailed out by others.

Why even think about personal responsibility when you see more and more freebies out there? That's what lazy (i.e. Democrats) people do these days.

Weird that if we go back 2 or 3 generations we see people who didn't wait for handouts but rather worked their asses off to make a successful life. My grandfather, with a 4th grade education, started a company just prior to the depression ... and worked 12 hours/day to make it a success. Worked until he was 85 or 86.
