Catholics. wtf is wrong with you people?

Pure logic makes it too simple to reveal his belief system.

Such a simple question like:

How could a human being of finite intelligence know a being of infinite intelligence?

Quote from RCG Trader:

Socrates believed that a man could find his own way if the right questions were asked. Logic will eventually overcome emotion, unless you are genetically not engineered for such, i.e. you are a woman.

He comes out railing about believers. That is fine. He is not a believer. But he will have to address specifically why he is not to have credibility. I have personally offered to engage him. He can ask ANY question he wants. I will not call him names, I will not belittle his intelligence. I will simply give him the answer that was given to me. He will believe it or not. I eagerly await his response.

Quote from LORD KAL-EL:

Non-sense all of those texts will be useless until he's had the crap beat out of him and he loses that arrogance chip on his shoulder.

He won't even be ready for the exoteric (much less the esoteric) teachings until that happens.
i understand the concept. i have to be forced to somehow give up critical thinking skills for the brainwashing to be effective. is that correct?

Quote from RCG Trader:

If you have been there and done that, you know what the Hopi medicine wheel is. So I would retort that you have not been there and done that as evidenced by the inability to have a rational discussion about it. Keep it coming FT keep it coming!

i concede i am no expert on the hopi medicine wheel. any reason i should be?
why would i be unless i were born a hopi. the vast majority of people inherit the religion of their parents. that fact alone proves that religion is not revealed but instead indoctrinated.

Quote from Free Thinker:

do you see any problems here? someone else told you what to think. you mentioned coming back to the bible. do you have any idea who put the bible together and why? maybe instead of letting someone else tell you what to think do the research yourself use your mind to look at the evidence.

by the way do you believe the man that presided over the coverup of priests raping children should be a saint? so far i cant get one of you religious types to say no. just a lot of beating around the bush.

Okay, I was worried that you might take that and run off with it. Allow me to clarify. When I say, "given to me" it was given thru meditation and prayer, not by a corporeal entity per se.

John Paul and his sainthood is not relevant to me. The Christ is clear when he says to develop a personal relationship with God. Those who do not have issues such as "sainthood" to contend with. That is nowhere mentioned in any holy text.

To be more clear, the Christ discusses Sadducees and Pharisees. This problem is not new. He also tells believers how to address this. If the catholic church makes John Paul a saint, how does that affect who is God?

Quote from LORD KAL-EL:

No , it's called an inconvenient one for you to deal with.

speaking of hard to deal with it sure is taking a lot of work to get you to answer a simple question. do you believe the man that presided over the coverup of priests raping children should be a saint?

I agree. It provides a starting point, but each man is responsible for his own salvation. What is parents provide him is not relevant. I am suggesting you take in the expansiveness of God. He is everywhere, in every single culture. You will have to face the eternal. It is inevitable.

Quote from Free Thinker:

all religions are nothing more than superstition. whats the point of looking at the hopi medicine wheel. wtf is that.
you forget i have been there and done that. once a mind rejects superstition in favor of reason it is immune from emotional pandering. it would take real evidence to change it back and that cant happen from a human concept that is not real.

Told you so, RCG.

The vast majority of people inherit the language of their parents.

Does that make the language of their parents necessarily false, because they were indoctrinated into it?

Do you realize that your concept of logical is the product of indoctrination?

that sure seem like more beating around the bush in order to evade a simple question. do you believe the man that presided over the coverup of priests raping children should be a saint?

given to you? i hope you still understand that people who talk to a god are religious. people who think god talks back are psychotic. do you hear god talk back to you?
