Cat jumps from 5th floor window and walks away

Imagine just casually walking by and one lands on the head.

,,Jesus Christ ! Damn rabies ! Completely out of control''

Poor animal. If it was a doge, there would be little of luck.

Few years ago, in my home city, there was a story of teenagers vs teenagers ;
one group kicked out another from a party, thus those exiles decided to set doors on fire, what ended up in a full scale fire of the apartment.

Drunk teenagers started jumping out from 9'th floor...

Everyone survived except for one girl who had no luck and landed in a bad place.

Sometimes being drunk has some ,,benefits''
(few seconds before the crash, most likely bodies/muscles were quite relaxed due the alcohol)

Yeah, I hate it when it's raining cats and dogs.

Surviving a 9-storey jump? They must have drunk so much that even their bones were "quite relaxed."

On second thought, there might have been some bushes next to the building, that might have softened the impact, tho i am not sure.

There were lots of broken bones, but yup, 3 or 4 guys survived.

If you look through the car window, you will see that it did.

Just as amazing...as soon as the Cat came out the window...

It didn't hesitate. It knew it needed to jump - right then and there.

More amazingly, that Cat instinctively knew to spread out its legs like one of those flying squirrels...essentially acting like a parachute.

----------

Well, it all comes down to acrobatics or lack thereof. Cats that fell from two to seven stories up mostly landed feet first. Above that, however, cats used a different technique. Instead of positioning their legs straight down as they fell, they splayed out like a parachuter. And landed belly-first instead.

But this method isn't 100% foolproof. Chest trauma, like a collapsed lung, or broken rib is more common with this landing method. But the risk of breaking a leg is much less...
