Cash withdrawal timing

Hi, I suddenly decided to buy a property in England this week and will pay for contract next week.
I have some GBP in IBKR and requested a withdrawal after Friday close (EST 6pm).
The amount is below $200k, which is the daily withdrawal limit.

My account is with IBKR Hong Kong.

The withdrawal is in GBP and will be wired into my UK bank account.

The withdrawal status is Pending

Which office will review and send the money?
Is it Hong Kong (where my account is with), or UK (withdrawal currency and recipient bank location)?
I do need the money sent within Monday (UK time).
The GBP cutoff time is 14:00 UK Time, but which office is the one to review and approve? I wanna call them asap

Was the initial deposit for the funds made from your UK bank account? In other words, did you fund the Hong Kong account from your UK account? It matters—a lot.

If funds are withdrawn to a bank other than the originating bank via ACH, a 44-business-day withdrawal hold period will be applied.

From the tone of your post it sounds like this is exactly what your trying to do—and it will set off a lot of red flags. You’re using IB to move money across international boundaries. You run into money laundering laws.

Of course I don’t know all the details or facts, but it sounds fishy. My spider sense is tingling… “suddenly” decide to buy property?! Did your bookie make a house call?

See a couple references below.

For example, there is a long hold time if you were to deposit from a US account to a Hong Kong account, and withdraw to a UK account. You’re using IB to move money across international boundaries. You run into money laundering laws. It’s fishy.

No, the money has been sitting and trading in IBKR for a long time.
I am just withdrawing it to my UK bank account.
In fact, I withdrew £150K last week without any issue, but the last £100k withdrawal is time-critical as delay will cause me trouble with the contract

This doesn’t answer the question; it doesn’t matter how long the funds were there, it matters where they came from.

Where did the original funds come from? Your account in the UK, or elsewhere…were they from a different account?

Also if you already withdrew 150k you should know how long it will take. Just look at the time for that transaction to clear.

They’re not going to “expedite” this for you. All kinds of laws apply.

I think it's the IB head office that reviews all withdrawal requests. They are usually pretty quick. Provided everything is in order, the funds are usually released after just 1 day.

You are totally full of shit.
Why don't you put your mouth back into the cocks or cocks back into your mouth.

It puzzles me why would you respond like this.
I'm not making this up--I did some research for you, cited references, and quoted IB documentation... see below.
I'm guessing your withdrawal request is stuck in "Pending," and you're taking it out on me?

Okay, you had no bad intention, but frankly what you said doesn't make sense for IBKR business model. I had my money transferred on time, no problem.
