CARS proves handing money to people is better than TARP

What did bank do with TARP? reward a select few individuals with big bonuses at the cost of 1 trillion+

If we would have handed americans 1 trillion in money to spend it would have been much more stimulative to the economy than tarp and probably get us out of the recession.
 
TARP just went into the coffers of GS and other big banks and did not increase velocity of money nor the economy.

I bet that same 800billion dollar if distributed to the population in these types of incentives would have probably stimulated the economy instead.

This is why I think TARP in my opinion is one of the greatest taxpayer swindles in history. At least this Clunker program does put money into the general economy.
