Long-term shareholders in Dell have had a miserable experience for the better part of the last 10 years. So now Dell and private equity guys see shares as undervalued, swoop in wanting to buy the company cheap. If Icahn can get Dell to pay more, then good for him and good for long term Dell shareholders that have suffered.
