surf, you already know I have relatives in the business working in Europe. I also have a few in the Montreal area.
1) Income levels accurate info
2) Job titles accurate info
3) Name of top financial firms accurate info
Also, I will say another thing I notice that was odd. The TA site link I posted...they use to post more "background" (e.g. university education, prior work experience and such) but not anymore unless you research these people on linkedIn. Its almost as if they don't want to share to much information about their backgrounds. Last time I saw such happen was a few weeks after 911 and I was visiting friends in Chicago...folks scared to talk about their jobs and firms.
My point, seems like the business is toned down and using more descriptive titles being used in an odd way as I stated before.
Seriously, a job title being used like "technical analysis/quantitative research". I don't know if that's good or a oxymoron statement.
Regardless, that doesn't sound like a "marketing job" to me. Also, I have not heard of someone making 6 figure income as an entry level position but I'm sure they are out there.
BNP does use the information...not sure why they would pay someone specific 137k per year to be a paper weight for 12 years plus performance bonuses. She's never seen any of her research reach a firm's client. Thus, no enticing, no newsletter, no pretty legs to walk around the office to keep things a little more interesting and she doesn't even have the quantitative research title glue to you TA job title.
She'll be in town for the holiday's (in a few days). I'll ask her why is her firm is paying her all that money to not do the things you've described...maybe its her academic background ?.
Heck, they even paid for her to move from Hong Kong to London. When was the last time you heard of a top company doing that for a entry level position.
P.S. Seems like you're upset there's an actual link to TA/Chartist that briefly discusses what firm they work for with all those CAPS you're using. Guess what, you're going to get more upset when you find out more about their careers if you look them up on LinkedIn.
P.S.S. My dry cleaners owner make 185k per year. Simply, anyone can find someone out there that makes more money than a TA/Chartist. Heck, my real estate agent makes almost 7 figures and she uses CHARTS to monitor home prices so she can make better recommendations. Simply, I can sit hear all night and name jobs that make more money than my cousin's salary...
Still doesn't take away the fact she has a job in the industry...info the thread starter is interested in finding more information about. You're not the thread starter and obviously NOT interested. Now STFU.![]()
Yeah, more multi-millionaires have been made in the dry cleaning biz than any other business, that's a fact.
Well, its "research" but research with the goal of enticing clients to invest-- not make actual buy sell decisions at the firm.
The reason they are changing the titles is thst the public is catching on to the TA scam so they add quant to the title to distance themselves--yet remain the same to attract the stragglers who still believe in TA.
All i can do is speak the truth to try to help a few folks out. Take it or leave it, my brother
