Get a job and keep learning about trading and the markets at your pace, trade on the side. Don't go to a prop shop, you don't want to limit yourself to cash equities. Don't sign up with a chat room, what they teach doesn't really work.
I am under the impression that www.stocktrading.com is about stock trading, but I am looking to enter the index futures market. Or do I have to professionally trade stocks first before shifting to futures?
BTW, I seem to have heard about negative comments about prop trading firms. Are those comments possibly significant?
