Terrorism? I'd call anyone trying to help Iran build nuclear weapons an enemy combatant.

What about Iran's support to Hamas and Hezbollah who have indiscriminately launched countless rockets and mortar shells into Israel? And their suicide bombers who have targeted innocents at weddings, on buses and in pizza parlors? Are they terrorists?

How about Iran's IED support to kill our people in Iraq and Afghanistan? Are those terrorist operations?

No, what you'd do is pretend that when Israel assassinates someone, or America assassinates someone, that it is somehow morally superior to when Iran assassinates someone. It is not. A dead human being is a dead human being and a person murdered is a person murdered. Let's remember, Israel has nukes, has not declared them, has not signed the nuclear non proliferation treaty, and routinely conducts assassinations of civilians. If we were talking about Iran that would qualify them as a rogue terrorist state. In fact, they are a rogue terrorist state without the undeclared nukes. Why not Israel? Why is Israel special?

You can attempt to call a scientist an enemy combatant but as far as I know that scientist was engaged in a peaceful endeavor...and unless you can present direct evidence that this is not the case, you advocate for the murder of civilians...not enemy combatants. Hate to say it but that makes you someone who believes in the use of terrorism to achieve a goal. Go ahead and let that settle because I do not mean it as an insult, simply a statement of fact.

Further, what you do, by employing the mind numbing level of hypocrisy necessary to justify your position, is you actually validate the use of these illegal (as far as the entire world is concerned) tactics. If Israel can do it then why can't Iran do it? There is no reason whatsoever, unless you believe Israel is some how entitled to break the rules....because it's Israel.

The rules apply to everyone Trader666, and when you conduct terrorist operations inside another country and murder their civilians, what ever justification you use, you invite a response in kind.

Not pretending, showing. You simply refuse to see it for what it is. Iran does not claim the right to indefinitely detain their citizens without charge or trial, America does. That's an example of how an Iranian citizen enjoys more protection from their government than an American citizen might. I've detailed the case of Jose Padilla. You called it "a mistake". Yet we have not moved away from that "mistake" and instead have given every indication that there will be more "mistakes".

As to moral equivalence. If party a kills party c then party a is a murderer. If party b kills party c then party b is a murderer. There is no moral difference.

If Iran assassinates an Israeli citizen, it is an act of terrorism.
If Israel assassinates an Iranian citizen, it is an act of terrorism.
If America assassinates an Iranian citizen, it is an act of terrorism.

Assassinations are, by their very definition, terrorist operations. Period. Israel is not special and has no moral authority to murder the citizens of another nation. That is also true for Iran and it is also true for America. Anyone who advocates assassinations advocates terrorism. See how that works?
