Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly resigns after attacking beloved USS Roosevelt captain

Thomas Modly has resigned as the acting secretary of the Navy, according to CNN.

Modly was caught on tape attacking Capt. Brett Crozier in a call with the crew of the USS Roosevelt after the captain’s letter to leaders begging for help was revealed online.

He accused Crozier of committing a “betrayal” and creating a “big controversy” in Washington by spreading his letter so widely among the Navy.

He attacked the captain as either “too naive” or “stupid” to do his job.

Sailors reported that they felt like they were being yelled at and shouted back at the message from Modly. He also endured a huge uprising of anger and frustration from the public. Navy veterans echoed the sentiment in their own angry responses.


Just 24-hours later, his resignation was announced.

This captain was wrong on multiple counts and shows a total lack of leadership. Take note of the facts. There were 150 sailors with positive Corona Virus infections out of a total 5,000 military staff on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt ? So, of the 150, how many had serious infections? Let us say 50, cannot those 50 be evacuated by chopper which an aircraft carrier has a number of to the closest military hospital for treatment? The rest, could have been quarantined and recovered with adequate care. Also, test the rest of the 5,000 crew. How hard is it to so, when he can order test kits? I am sure the military has a bunch of them. So, where is the crises? Yet, he writes a 5 page manifesto, even leaking it to the liberal media? It does not pass the stink test and this captain looks more and more likely, an extreme liberal with an axe to grind? Probably, seeking to embarass President Donald Trump too. No, this is not about the safety of his crew because he did squat of all steps he could have taken. He did nothing except, whining and crying about it? In the time he was whining and crying about it, he could have already fixed the problem?
