Authoritative doom? I'm just asking questions. I thought you guys were looking for real alpha here. I just questioned whether or not you would be able to find large institutional investors for a naked option seller. I'm not questioning whether or not he is a good trader. He might be the best trader in the world for all I know. Look Mickson, you are a sponsor here and you are going to be questioned. To give you an idea of what you "might" be in for, the other firm backing traders had about 5 threads started with over 500 to 1000 pages per thread of heating questioning. You are still in the kiddie phase here. Enjoy it will it lasts. This crowd can get very vocal after awhile. And don't be afraid of me. I'm a kitten compared to some of the tigers who will show up here asking you questions.
 
the whole thing sounds a like a good deal for some guy that likes to trade, but has no interest or no skills in networking, marketing or sales.

Since you don't seem to be looking for one guy to manage it all, I see no problem if some of the traders have styles that wouldn't be appropriate for some instituitions. Some people are just looking for a high risk/return component in their portfolio.

A little diversification never hurts.

maybe so, but they let me post here for free. No sense in attacking a sponser who pays for it all. There's plenty of room for us to attack each other.
 
I am a libertarian so have your say. I may have to grow some extra hide.
On a serious note I probably felt I needed to reply to each post which I think makes the replies defensive to a degree. So my new approach is to mainly respond to questions and the odd comment I cannot resist LOL :)

This seems to be the crux of the matter. To demonstrate value of this service, whoever is at the top of the leader board needs to get serious funding.

what do you call serious funding?

the Rapa of my day would put starting traders on with just 80k. Some were insulted and leave, others would take it just to get their foot in the door.

I know an RIA who made more money consistently than all of us on 1% on 10k min accounts. But she was very good with people. Now all those 10k accounts are worth 3.5m. Not due to performance, but just due to she is who they have always invested with.

As for me personally? It would take 50 million to ever get me to touch opm again.

Explain yourself, he hasn't had a losing year in 6, he didn't lose a cent in 2008 like Maverick suggested, and his ranking applies to 1 yr of IB tracking....
 
ET where hopes and dreams come to die. :) Lol, On a serious note though, i hope this really goes somewhere and you guys are successful. Hope you guys are still around when im ready to give this a try.
