Excuse me ma'am, I need to correct you and I'll correct Luke to be fair. The native Americans DID have guns because we gave them the guns. We also game them ammunition. We did it so they would fight other native groups who were hostile and we armed them during the revolutionary war to fight the British. However, natives were very dependent on Europeans for ammo and when the colonists wanted to attack them they simply stopped providing them with ammo.

And yes, we did enslave many native americans. And we had them working in the same fields as the african slaves. The relationship the colonists had with native americans was complex. Friendly to some, hostile to others.

But trendlover, I just wanted to correct you, because the natives most certainly had guns.
