Can't trade? blame yourself

Quote from bat1:

So many cry babies come here with problems about trading
and never look in the mirror..

They just want to blame everyone else

and think if they can't do it no one can...

Well, many can and many do trade well

why should they waste their time
with you?

when you cause your own problems.....

Trading plays very vital economic roles of price discovery and provision of liquidity but for the individual speculative trading is a losers game.

It's a mathematical fact.

Yes , more specifically speculative trading is a negative sum game which requires most participants to lose.

This is not the case for hedgers and investors.

i am not sure what math you are using

it is funny when someone cant do something they assume that no one else can as well

i guess what i do day in and day out is just magic then

1) Well I'm not sure what reading comprehension deficits you have.

2) red herring

3) Yes you are special and therefore reality does not apply to you because you are "the MAN" :D

I'm just trying to tell you if you are functioning as a speculator probability is set against you.

Most traders lose, some struggle to break even with commissions and a small minority dominate.

Quote from Bolimomo:

Many of the unanswered ones deserve to be unanswered though. Every so often you will see someone posting a one-liner opening saying something like "I am new to trading. What do I need to know to make money?"

Kind of like: Tell me... what do I need to know? Spoon feed me, please! And I only take it for free.

The most recent case: I have $100 in my new E-Trade account. Can someone tell me how to turn this into $500 in 60 days? Does it deserve an answer?

One truth of the matter is that no great trader can "Tell" you how to become a great trader. Great trading is an action, not words that one listen's to

Every question deserves and answer, Bolimomo. The problem with a good trader who has good intentions answering someone is it won't be effective until that trader trades enough, works enough, and develops skills.

So even the traders that want to give their time can't help, espefcially with words. Modeling, showing someone, having them emulate your actions, at first is necessary. Then then need to cusomize it to what they themselves can do.

No answer typed on a webpage will do that. Bu

You guys are cruel. I see few direct complaints but many requests for help and guidance that mostly go unanswered.

I can't say as I've seen any reasonable request completely ignored.

I have seen threads turn into pissing matches as opinions differ.

I've also seen some good advise ignored. The "Yes thats very true but it doesn't apply to me" attitude.

Trading requires a lot of work and no one is willing to do the work.

I can't make any money doing what I'm doing but I don't want to anything different.

Quote from Albert Einstein:
Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I heard a floor trader once say to a rookie "well if your losing money, then someone’s making money" - and by reading some of the threads hear on ET, someone is making a hell of a lot of money.

Every question deserves an answer. Maybe. My point is: Does anyone asking a one-liner question deserves to be served?

Would you like to type some explanations that require the volume of a dissertation to anybody who just comes in and asks a casual question?

e.g. Would you tell me what I need to do to make money trading stocks?
