Can't Send a PM

Can't send a PM - it says mailbox is full, while the meter shows 43% full.

I deleted a few messages and it still doesn't work

Also, I read in a prior post that you can increase the limit of messages stored for a good reason. Please do that, I have been bombarded with PMs about creating groups and there is a lot of back and forth. I don't want to delete a lot of them - to remember who am I speaking with. Thanks!
 
When you can't send a PM due to a full mailbox, that usually means that the person you are trying to send the PM to has a mailbox that is full, not yours.
