Can't place a metal calendar spread order

Hello,

I tried to place a few metal calendar spread orders in the last few weeks with my IB account and everytime my order is rejected because of an absurd initial margin requirement( like 50K per lot for a gold calendar spread ). At first, I thought it was that IB applied crazy margins due to the volatility and the erratic behaviour of convergence in metals but now, I wonder if there is something wrong in my precautionary settings or something like that.

Are you guys able to place metal spread orders?

What is the exact spread/ quantity/markets?

That spread has a margin requirement of $37,099 on IBKR and $500 on the CME Span calculator.

SI from $12,650 --> $14,575

To be expected after it drops 100 points in a day.
