In the most promising study, about 35 patients with ALL were treated with Cars-modified T-cells; 94% went into remission, though symptoms could reappear. More than 40 patients with lymphoma have also been treated, with remission rates of more than 50%. In a group with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, there was evidence of diminished cancer symptoms in more than 80% of cases.

“Much like chemotherapy and radiotherapy, it’s not going to be a save-all,” Riddell said of the new therapy, adding: “I think immunotherapy has finally made it to a pillar of cancer therapy.”

A paper on the ALL research is currently under review and pending publication.

yea, this goes both ways. I tried investing in NantKwest several times since it came public with no success what so ever, Lots of people bought it at $32 around the IPO and now it trades at $7. Its been falling hard since the IPO and then fell another 41% in January 2016 after lockup expired. I figure to buy some once it falls below $5...that area of biotech seems very much in the distant future and they wheel out a few Very small studies with some Very few people and a couple have success...they wheel out these stories every once in a while to kick the success can down the road...I think around 2020-2025 this will be something to re-visit.
