Cancel culture has gone too far

A group of angry activists demanding a local theater not host a comedian because they are "offended" -- anyway you slice & dice it -- is Cancel Culture. This is very different than the theater not hosting the comedian because the comic was not popular and they would not earn a profit on the performance.

Me and Ocho disagree. Cancel culture is just fancy buzzwording for "boycotts I disagree with"

Tthe theater did not have to listen.... they made their free decision.

cancel culture is just what the kids say to sound cool...

Profit makes no sense. If chappelle is really popular but a lot of protests could affect future profits the theater cancels the show. No one complains just because a theater cancels a show it never really sold tickets to.

No that is a good label for it. people use cancel culture when they dislike the protestors and capitalism when they dislike the target. it is just social media label bullshit.

It appears that Lee Enterprises removed the Dilbert cartoon from its papers. Dilbert is just one of the cartoons to be removed. This is a straight out business decision— as outlined in the Fox News article.
