Just remember all the women on the left fawning over the Boston terrorist which they believed to be the "hot one".
Back to the subject... Rolling Stone has a long term record of leaning left but even this is not enough to save them from "Cancel Culture".

I always find that those that make an issue of being offended by something like Rolling Stone were usually not subscribers or anyone intending to. Also when Rolling Stone put the terrorist on their front page I said I would never look at their magazine (but was not a subscriber) but certainly it attracted attention and more readers (no such thing as bad publicity huh).
So in the end, it gets a lot of social media attention like NIKE did but rarely affects them long term except for really extreme situations like My Pillow haha
You realize anyone can create a cancel mob right? Even GOP PACs can make a "lefty cancel mob" so fox can run a segment
There is no cancel culture or cancel mob, there is just over sensitivity to offending customers now that did not exist before. Like all pendulums they tend to swing too far to one side before correcting.
It is not that we never cared before, it is just that social media and cable give voices to the voiceless and to some who should never be allowed to speak. It is hard to separate the two lately unfortunately.

The people that want to cancel Dr. Seuss, are not necessarily the same people that want to cancel My Pillow.
Did they say The Civil Rights movement was brought on by the civil rights mob?
Why do you stigmatize the attempts society is making to improve itself. You never ever answered the question as to whether or not you thought school children should have access to the Dr. Seuss books in questions.
The merits don't seem to matter to you. You just don't like grassroots movements that change society. I could imagine how you'd felt during The Civil Rights movement ... with all that change going on.
Your beliefs don't seem to be congruent with democracy.
In a democracy, The People (The Mob, The Culture, call us what you will, comrade) are the ultimate authority. Period.
