Trudeau spoke to Biden and the Governor of Michigan about many issues involving the Freedom Convoy and blockades...
One of the issues discussed was that Canada Banking will continue monitoring the money trail from the U.S. (over 1/2 the funding from the U.S. and more than 25% of the protesters are U.S. citizens) and there's other funding from countries to the Canadian Freedom Convoy that currently are being monitored.
- Trudeau would not elaborate on the money flow from which other countries outside of North America.
As a reminder from another post in a thread from last year...Canada Banks are very involved in monitoring money flow into Canada from extremist organizations and terrorist organizations outside of North America including identifying organizations like the "Proud Boys" as a terrorist group.
He reminded everyone that Canada will not change mandate requirements for Airline travel, train travel, bus travel that requires face mask-wearing nor will he change the Airline travel that vaccination/health-pass require to fly into and out of Canada.
He stated Canada will ensure that the laws are followed and reminded everyone that the February 14th of the lifting of the mandates/restrictions in Canada. Yet, it does not involve occurring when flying, train travel, or bus travel.
Summary: He's not budging and will go after those at the beginning of the money trail that's supporting the Freedom Convoy especially if it's connected to extremist or terrorist groups. He's asking the Freedom Convoy to
"go home" before more serious prosecution begins to occur, you'll have your truck confiscated and they're monitoring those Canadians that traveled to the U.S. to meet certain individuals in the U.S. and then travel back to Canada...

Also, Canada's laws are much more strictly applied than the U.S. involving trucks within city limits. He noted that 6 auto plants had to shut down because of the protest blockades. Also, he's telling protesters to stop bringing their children to the blockades because it may become dangerous.
Reminder: +90% of the Canadian population are vaccinated. +90% of Truckers are vaccinated. Most mandates/restrictions are planned to be lifted on February 14th.
