Actually as I have pointed out before -- using the data provided from the government of Canada -- a large number of Canadians come over the border and pay for procedures out-of-pocket to avoid waits in Canada. A common example being MRIs and Knee Surgery, where the wait in Ontario is over 8 months, but you can get it across in the U.S. immediately. If your kid is injured playing hockey do you really want them to wait nearly a year to get surgery so they can get back on the ice.
Canadian national median wait time is 18 weeks

I would come armed with the facts and figures from the Canadian government and see how she would fumble in refuting any of them. Just like I did with you. Go re-read my old posts on Canadian healthcare for an education complete with data.
You are truly delusional. She's an expert in the field and well spoken. You're an American in IT who uses Google. All you are doing here is illustrating the issues with current world where pseudo-experts in every topic post a lot of garbage on the internet and truly believe they have it all figured out.

Enjoy wallowing your self-imposed ignorance? You appear to deliberately ignore your own government's data and discount any mainstream Canadian media publishing the facts. Intelligent people use Google to find the data sources -- and yes, they have figured it all out.
Even more sad for you is that I am actually a supporter of using Canada's system as a model for any type of single-payer system put into place in the U.S. -- a transition at some point down the road I view as inevitable if universal healthcare is deemed as a proper benefit by society. However the reality is that universal healthcare will lead to longer waits, and to a rise of a parallel private care system as we are seeing in Canada -- which wealthier people use to avoid the waits and other issues in the public care system.
Only 1% of all surgeries occur out of country and the "private care system" in Canada is a relatively small operation except in the standard extended care areas like dentists, eye care, chiropractors, etc etc. . This "parallel private care system" you keep talking about, let's put it in perspective. What percentage of medical care in Canada is under that system ?
And let's be real here, Americans got the health care system the asked for and deserve. Canadians developed our system decades ago and are overwhelmingly quite happy with their choice. It's not us seeking to overhaul our system. You put far more energy in trying to pick at our system then Canadians do.
You've got health care figured out about as well as Trump has, another blowhard who thinks he's an expert in everything. Only thing is, when he was put in a position to get something done, he eventually had to say "who knew health care was this complicated ?". You'll never be in that position, but the Canadian doctor in the video is. I guess in your world somebody would say, but wait, we have a IT network engineer in North Carolina who knows better, he's been on Google and diagnosed the problem.
