Canadian based US Equity Options Traders (Platform query)

Hi All,

I am new here and happy I stumbled upon the site and forum.
I have recently returned to Canada after a 20 year stint in Asia.
I have spent the past 6 weeks, to no avail I may add, to source a decent platform to trade US Equity Options, from Canada.
Regulatory parameters eliminate all American based platforms I have approached.
I find Canadian offerings have ridiculously high rates and are essentially RETAIL Trader based.

Below is what I have emailed vendors.
'I require a platform to trade NYSE listed Equity Options. My choice of vendor will provide low latency, direct routing,Level 2, competitive discount brokerage, volume rebates based upon "non-aggressor participation".Please revert with your offerings.'

Any constructive advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Terry

Thanks for your responses @comintel,@Ferrycorsten,@soon2Bgreat.
I have contacted IB here in Canada, there rates are substantially more expensive than platforms in the USA that I tried to sign up for.
Due to the regulatory environment here, which does not only apply to Trading platforms, sophisticated traders (for lack of a better term) are relegated to trading full priced platforms with no rebates even though as a non aggressor the platform I end up using will receive rebates from the exchange based on contract volume.
in a nutshell, it seems to me that they are very geared at entry level traders and I suspect sophisticated Canadian Traders are either trading offshore or another avenue/loophole that I am unaware of, hence my posting here.

Thanks again for responses.

Quote from Soon2Bgreat:

That's just an interactive brokers account with a livevol front end.

You can also clear through Apex and Lek; LVX is not restricted to IB.

Failing all else you can associate with an options-oriented proprietary trading firm in the U.S. Clearing would then be under their name so Canadian regs. would not be a problem. People in the Prop. trading forum could help on that.

Or you could incorporate a U.S. or other-country company.

@COMINTEL,
Thank you very much !
That is the lateral thinking (loophole) that I was looking for.
Greatly appreciate your comments and advice.
