Unsure of what reality show to watch tonight. Turn off the cable and watch the news - its cheaper and more twists and turns with better subplots IMO.
There has been a lot of world attention on American issues - some deserved and some not in my view. The average folks I meet are wonderful in both countries. It's when they put on a suit and tie and move to Ottawa (or Washington) they get an awful disease we call Ottawa (or Washington) disease.
The Americans may want to do some further research on some Canadian entertainment headlines (strangely don't get the full media play they should in my view) to help take their mind off the problems for a while:

Initially it was reported that was no such video, next there was an extortion plot, next the police found a deleted copy of the non-existent video, and now his brother (also a councilman) called for the head of the police chief for "judging" the mayor. Seems the frostiest relationship is not the weather up here these days.

Three senators have been implicated in an audit of expenses and they point back to the Prime Minister's Office as trying to get the money back. Apparently its not getting the public money back that is the media's preferred option. Lots more yet to go in this soap opera.

The unbelievable Quebec corruption inquiry (likely partially due to bridge reliability issues has resulted in some incredible discoveries. Be sure to have a ready supply of popcorn handy for this long running feature. My bet is that there are some gems yet to come out
As a bonus for those that pay too many taxes, how about a tax refund story:

It sure beats the crap out of honey boo boo re-runs. LOL!
