Canadian advise requested

Here is the reply I received from "FreeTrade by Ameritrade":

Due to provincial registration requirements that must be adhered to, we cannot open any accounts for non-resident aliens from Canada until further notice. Please check back with us in a couple of months to see if there are any changes.

How would you handle my account from Canada? I wish to trade in the major US Markets and the TSX and Venture exchanges in Toronto. Are your services quoted in Canadian dollars?

My current review has narrowed it down to "Questrade" and "TradeFreedom" .... anyone have comments on these two??:

In Canada, I have used each of them and also Jitney Online Groups (a Terra Nova afiliation - owner of RealTick).

My experience with each of them is good, they are professional and no problem to report on the service. For the fee, each of them have similar price but you can negociate them if you have volume. In some case, you can have a preference depending of your trading style.

Other valuable alternative are IB or Disnat Direct.

Now if you want a professional platform for the trading, the most complete package are Realtick (Jitney) or CyberTrader (QuestTrade). In the past, TradeFreedom have used RealTick across ATTAIn and this was not reliable for remote trader, today they used an integrated trading tools and the service come from some major quote software corporation, a better choice for them. They supply only a trading windows that you could setup with your prefer software.

My choice is Questrade.com .
I was a trainee at Swifttrade once and really got used to the direct access trading.

Questrade handles RRSP and Canadian and US trading. Right now I use the new CyberTrader X2 for my everyday trading and it is great.
