Canada's Liberal party considers decriminalization of all illicit drugs

Are you really going to have the government give people drugs that are dangerous (e.g. meth). Are you simply going to have the government hand-out low cost opiods so we can triple the current death rate from opiod addiction. There are some categories of drugs that simply should not be part of a government supported supply program.

Any drug legal and cheap. Obviously no need to introduce new ones. The key is make them cheap and require an id, which then goes into central DB. The user will have a choice get them on the cheap but identify yourself or spend more $ on black market. Prison population is vastly reduced and so is DEA. Cartels loose most of their cash flows.
