Well I for one was wondering why we were allowing travellers from the UK when the UK was knee deep in a massive outbreak of the UK variant. At a time when we were loosening restrictions in Ontario. Somebody in government wasn't doing their job. The quarantine hotels were a related joke. Too little too late squandering most of the huge advantage Ontario had over most of NA dealing with Covid.

Ford was told to put on restrictions 4 or 5 weeks ago. It was only AFTER the current mess started that the vaccines started rolling in with some sembelence of a plan; prior to that it was some army guy heading the project taking forever to set up something. A patronage appointment from the military when we needed a go getter.

They walked right into this. I wasted no time getting the first decent shot I wasn't going to wait for the inevitable shortfalls and promises to fail.

Canada is still allowing travelers to enter Canada....even now from Brazil :mad:

We were doing fine until we started allowing other countries that had piss poor Covid performance to enter Canada.

I feel sorry for Ontario...they have us Quebecors from the east and the Americans (e.g. Michigan, Wisconsin) from the south that Americans are known to use a loophole to cross the border via boats without needing to do quarantine.

It's a hard sell to continue to tell citizens and the medical community to do their part ( and they did ) but have government officials act carelessly throughout. The low Covid numbers last year were a tribute to the community but the two levels of government ( federal and provincial ) really dropped the ball since the summer; as far as I can tell the City of Toronto handled things fine.

Sweden did not change government since the start of the pandemic. Sweden had to change their policies once their original "lockdown lite" policies were found to be a complete disaster. The Prime Minister and King both directly stated that Sweden's COVID policies completely failed.

Don't forget, Swedish health officials and the engineer of the health police Mr. Tegnell himself stated the same as fact...

The health policy they used for the Pandemic since the beginning had failed.

Cowardly, after they stated such...they have tried to cover the tracks via back tracking by saying their Pandemic health policy was not the Natural Herd Immunity.

Simply, they can admit that it failed but they can not admit what they were doing that had failed as if they're trying to protect it for use another day but the passage of the Pandemic law (to use lockdown) was what forced them to stop acting like a bunch of crazies that were willing to let Covid rip through their country because they know now that they can not protect their elderly nor protect their vulnerable ethnic communities.

In addition, they saw that economically, they had suffered and they learned that depression, mental illness and suicides did in fact increased in 2020...similar to countries that had lockdown...similar to their Scandinavian neighbors.

Now back to Canada...what do you have for us ? :D

I never said they changed govt. I said the tards got a hold of the govt and forced a panicked policy change.

As I said the other day:

It is getting so that several forum members here- mostly fake canadians- can see North Korea from their house/s.

OH CORONADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I have said before though. I would be in favor of supplying adult Canadians with American vaccines before vaccinating children here but I don't think I could get the Americans to go along with me.
