I would urge the right to stay out of gender controversies, or expand the tent, depriving the left of its ability to pander to low info demographics for more votes.
It's not worth it, unless you are a yarmouk-wearing Jew like Shapiro, or a Judeo_Christian who insist that a male god insists on a strictly binary construct of gender, despite evidence to the contrary (hermaphrodites), under the threat of violent penalty.
