can you trade options after hours?..at least 4-4:15pm EST?...can you help?...I thought I saw/read somewhere that you can trade certain stock or index options in that 4:00-4:15pm EST window?...is that correct?...thanks in advance!

technically its not after hour since the official trading hours are 9h30-16h15 estern time (8h30-15h15 central). Its just that an order expires at 16h15 and not 16h like stocks.

have you ever traded in this :15 minute zone after RTH stock trading stops??...been very helpful?

Prior to the recent few days of heightened volatility, VIX call options would often fall to the day's lows just before the close of trading at 16:15.

SPY, QQQQ, and DIA options trade until 16:15 too, but the spreads widen after 16:00.
