When you said, "point is I am afraid that I won't get "it" back".

That is the exact thing that will prevent you from getting "it" back.

Those feelings go under the "fear" category. Remember fear and greed...ya can't have them.

Your mind is setting up a road block for you.

Get rid of that...and if you have a true passion for the market..you'll be all set. If you can do it once, you can do it again.

Free advice is cheap. here's one that didn't work for bob and cathy person. Four steps:

1. Say how things are for you now. be clear like your posts. (Do it where you sit and work)

2. Write out briefly how you want things to be. Refine it a little.

3. Say outloud what you wrote. and Say outloud that you affirm what you just spoke.

4. Go about you business or return to what you were planning to do next. Get to a new thing.

Set a higher goal. I always find that if my goal is too low I dont have much to work for and its not a challange. Keep growing or you will go away, always challange yourself.

I have a idea.

Give me ALL YOUR MONEY, except for 30K, and then
try to make a living on your newly improved small account :D

This should provide MUCH challenge, and then
you will once again "have it" :D

Try to apply your trading to another market (currencies, futures, etc.) if you feel you've already mastered your current one. (I would never try this personally).

Or take some time off and write a book like every burned out trader does.

Otherwise your better rekindle that burning desire for winning/money or else complacency will eventually send you to the poorhouse.

Note: a lot of guys have been complaining about not making as much money the last couple of years as they used to in the hey-day. I know a guy who used to make $750,000 a year in the late '90s and now only makes in the low $200's. He has trouble staying motivated because he isn't at his peak.
