Can this be for real?

I would like to see what exactly he did in the "demo" to get such good results and am just trying to understand so I do not make a bad mistake that I will regret.
 
If he's so good, he will have better alternatives to raising capital than you. The fact that he doesn't is a signal.

In the end, you don't invest in returns. You invest in the manager. If you are concerned about "making a bad mistake that you will regret" then you shouldn't be even considering investing in him.

I can assure you that I am not the "guy trading the demo" - I am not trying to sell anything. I would like to see if/how this person was able to manipulate the prices in the demo so I can "out" him.

oic. First you were considering investing with him and now you want to out this fraud. Seems reasonable.
 
Just think over again why he needs u to provide him money for trading. If he is such profitable, he can just go to any prop firm and use $5k or $10K as deposit with 1:10, 1:100 or 1:1000 leverage. That is more than what u can give him, right?
 
I think destriero is correct...this is just a set-up by the OP to lure some of the low hanging fruit around here to inquire about the mystery trader...a somewhat clever sales tactic.
