can someone start a POLL...who is the best trader or gives best trading insight at ET

Quote from Mike Okistini:

MO: Prove them wrong then,

HH: If anything has to be proved, the onus is on you to prove them right.

MO: polling a small sample here on what they do each morning or evening or who they s hould listen to is a follower's mentality.

HH: Actually, it's just a suggestion - a single event that is insufficient to establish a psychological pattern.

MO: If you have the time, simply browse the threads and decide for yourself what is good and useful or not.

HH: If you have the time. increasenow's suggestion is much more efficient. It's more efficient to check the posting records of whoever's names/aliases are posted by way of the poll. It's probable that names of poor and/or bogus traders will be indicated, but it's also probable that anyone who's exceptional will also be indicated.

MO: Most people are putting up entries and exits but you have no idea if they are simply sim trading or posting after the fact since the time stamp is so bad.

HH: True, but the credibility of the allegedly good traders can be assessed by the individuals following the poll.
In any case. This is not the thread for a major debate. I'll let you have the last word.

My post does not ask what others think or feel about me so your offer is nice but unnecessary.

But my post makes the most sense here. If you cannot open a question to the public or you are so dependent on what others think as Increase is, you do not have the traits to trade well. I do not need a poll to tell me what to trade or who to listen to, I can read different posts and see which makes sense and which, like yours is trash.

My words are direct and harsh, but it does not make it any less true.

LOL-----Why are you here?

I'd say the best traders (this includes system traders :) ), usually don't bother to post too many specific details about their trading.

They mostly use ET as a diversion...

the fact that you are too lazy to start the poll yourself which is quite easy to do may give some insight to personal trading skill and performance :D

B-U-R-N!!!:D :D :D :D

Amusing how some folks here are so quick to be so critical of a guy who comes on here seeking to pick up some insight on trading. After all, isn't that at least, partly why this site exists???

Maybe the dude doesn't know much about trading. Maybe he is a bit unmotivated/lazy at this point, thinking that if he only got a few good hints that money would just fall into his account.

Did any one of us think trading was actually so difficult to learn/grasp when we first started?

Everybody starts somewhere; at some point. Oh, except for our resident ET gurus and our ET geniuses, who, of course, were born knowing everything there is to know about trading.

Guess what? I learn from those who know, as well as those who don't. Damn, I wish I had been born a genius.

Yea who are these people? I need to abandon my stategy and do what their doing since their so smart.
Yes, most of them are, so you shouldn't care who they are. Any strategy is better than yours, since you don't have one.
