Can some one explain this?

Nope, Just bailing on Janus. They have lost most of their most skilled managers and are just treading water as far I am concerned. Loooosers!!!!!

Quote from Trend Fader:

Janus Expects To Lose $4.5B In Institutional Assets

http://biz.yahoo.com/djus/040305/1754000836_1.html

"Janus said in a news release Friday that the outflows will be the result of end-of-year evaluations by institutional clients who have decided to move their money elsewhere. "

Do you think this is hinting and that the smart money is starting to bail on the market?

Some do bail out in a small sideways trend;
many more still in DIA, SPY, QQQ & related.

In Janus case thier symbol of a two faced Roman takes on much more meaning with thier much trouble with the SEC.

And much has been written on SEC trouble with Janus''smartmoney.com'';
dowjones empire.

Lawyer & Janus are probably thankful that is less than 4% gross.

I guess it would be impossible for you to even consider ( especially given your perma-Bear bias ) that institutional holders of Janus might just be leaving Janus as a portfolio manager, and not the market.

My next guess is that you will somehow theorize that this must mean that Janus will have to sell their positions in order to allow customers to leave the Fund . . .

:eek:
