Can i make money intraday from sideways action?

I know that it's possible to make money collecting premium in options
while the stock goes sideways but that should be a trade that lasts
from days to weeks.

Is it possible somehow to make money with options intraday if i think
a certain stock would move sideways?

Jeff Augen has some good material on expiration plays in his books. I believe some of his techniques revolve around sideways movement/pinning to strikes/ etc. I found it tough to overcome the bid ask spread in a single day personally.
 
I'm a stock trader so i know the expiration day tricks with finding the
highest probability strike and combine it with a technical trigger on the
chart etc...

There are stocks that are liquid enough and also very easy to predict
the sideways action...If options trading has a tool for making money
from intraday sideways action then i'm down!

Simplest/riskiest is selling a straddle. Besides that you can trade a butterfly which is the straddle plus long options to reduce risk. I still think it is tough intraday though. Every leg you add to a position causes slippage you have to overcome.

Subscribe to Bob at TastyTrade ... and then take the opposite side of their trades .... they seem to have been the wrong side of scalping this market for as long as I can remember :-)
 
I guess i will pass then, I thought about doing this only if it's something
worth doing that many people do...but the spreads thing screws this
i guess...
