Can I install 10TB HDD in Dell T-7500 workstation ?

That's probably what it means. Your 7500 is old... might need newer workstation for more storage space.

I don't know the answer to this notion, but you might look into "external storage" for extra space (like NAS). Could be your rig can handle only 10TB, regardless. Then again, perhaps that's "10TB onboard" + more "external"?

Some ETer likely knows and may chime in.

Clever solution, OP could put his discs on a nas and then have one boot disc to extend the life of the workstation.

Scat, I always look forward for your opinions & I have bought Dell 5820 but having trouble with extremely small Font size with Win-11 on it but will find a solution but right now I am so used to T-7500 setup with 12 monitors & avoiding fooling with 5820.

But as you said, hopefully some other ETers may chime in.

I don't have W11, but under W10, Settings/Ease of Access... text can be made much larger.

(If I recall correctly, 5820 has a stated storage capacity of 24TB.)

You are right, I am working on it. Having 12 Monitors, 24 inch each, the distance requires fairly large fonts.

"Should" work fine...if it is SATA, any SATA drive should work. 6TB was probably just the largest Dell offered at the time. That said you never know for sure until you try.

FYI Dell and HP often try to sell "their" hdd's, etc., for server upgrades when a generic one will do just fine.

Yes, I tried to buy Dell's 4TB Toshiba Enterprise & they wanted 3 times the market price. So I bought 6 TB Toshiba Enterprise at half the price.
