Can global warming be real if it’s cold in the U.S.? Um… yes!

He may be a good meteorologist. But frankly, when someone says stuff like he did I lose respect for their intellect.

Here's more on Joe:

“Completely wrong.” “Simply ignorant.” “Scientifically incorrect.” “Utter Nonsense.” “Very odd.” These are words scientists have used in the past to describe the nationally televised ramblings of weather forecaster Joe Bastardi, who Fox News hosts from time to time in an apparent effort to dismantle whatever its viewers might know about physics.
When we last saw Joe, he was breaking the news that the world’s climate scientists had overlooked the first law of thermodynamics. (He was wrong.) After a thorough round of mockery in the blogosphere, we thought surely Fox would throw away Bastardi’s phone number. But here he is on Fox Business this morning, declaring that carbon dioxide “literally cannot cause global warming”:

BASTARDI: CO2 cannot cause global warming. I’ll tell you why. It doesn’t mix well with the atmosphere, for one. For two, its specific gravity is 1 1/2 times that of the rest of the atmosphere. It heats and cools much quicker. Its radiative processes are much different. So it cannot — it literally cannot cause global warming.

Asked about Bastardi’s statements, Kerry Emanuel of MIT said: “Utter rubbish. Sorry to be so direct, but that is just the case.” NASA climatologist Gavin Schmidt added: “Bastardi is attempting to throw out 150 years of physics.” “He seems very confused,” said physicist Richard Muller.
Bastardi may be hoping that when delivered confidently, terms like “specific gravity” and “radiative processes” can convince Fox’s viewers that he knows what he’s talking about. But don’t be fooled; he is again garbling the very basics of climate science. Schmidt explained:
Bastardi doesn’t understand the first thing about the greenhouse effect – it has absolutely nothing to do with the ‘specific gravity’ of CO2 or any other greenhouse gas, it has to do with the fact that GHGs absorb and radiate infra-red heat and in doing so warm the surface of the Earth.

FC: As I mentioned before, humans are insignificant to earth. They cannot save earth, and cannot harm it either, because they are made from earth. As for global warming, I mentioned it may not true, and if it were it would be good to earth, but unfortunately earth may be cooling. If you live in a cold place check your gas bill, and you will know it is getting colder.

I do not follow theories made by people. Take Darwin as an example. He was insulted as an a descendent of apes. To respond, he made the theory that all humans are descendents from apes, so that no one can single him out. As for climate change and warming, it is just a theory that is put out to get funding for researchers using tax dollars.

If there is a need for research it should be on how to make the earth warmer. The creator has made the sun as a source of energy. Without heat, there is no life on earth.

In its policy statement, the APS declares: "Emissions of greenhouse gases from human activities are changing the atmosphere in ways that affect the Earth's climate. They are emitted from fossil fuel combustion and a range of industrial and agricultural processes. The evidence is incontrovertible: global warming is occurring. If no mitigating actions are taken, significant disruptions in the Earth's physical and ecological systems, social systems, security and human health are likely to occur. We must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases beginning now."

Earth is cooling, They should cut funds for APS. Research on how to stop earth from cooling is more relevant and economically beneficial. This winter, even people in Thailand are dying from cold temperatures.

I guess the EU is losing it's fascination with warmists... this might be sort of a yawner issue in a year or two. The UN backed "scientists" are the only real cheerleaders nowadays. The UN needs GW like a crack whore needs rocks, it could expand their power and give them a reason to levy an international tax.

Wow. I think with those above two above posts you have set a high-water mark for stupidity on this forum. And that's saying something.

Care to post a chart of world temps going down?

The US DOES NOT FUND THE APS or any other science organization except for the NSF, as far as I know.

Like most science organizations this one is funded by it's members.

American Meteorological Society

"It is clear from extensive scientific evidence that the dominant cause of the rapid change in climate of the past half century is human-induced increases in the amount of atmospheric greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), chlorofluorocarbons, methane, and nitrous oxide." (2012)7

Most of the scientists who are members of APS are involved in research activity which is funded by the U.S. Government via grants. In effect the entire organization exists built on basis of government funding fed to it via scientists.

This aside, TJ is quite correct. The biggest 'climate' threat to mankind is global cooling. I will note that neither global cooling or warming are caused by the activities of mankind. However our scientific research dollars would be better spent creating solutions to deal with cooling; improved heating systems, improved heat efficient buildings, cold weather crops, and many other items that can help mankind deal with the cold.

Yes, that's why the European science orgs also agree with the overwhelming consensus. Just how stupid are you?

Stupid enough to agree with TJ that cooling is the problem when in fact just the opposite is happpening and why the American Geophysical Union says this...

"Human‐induced climate change requires urgent action. Humanity is the major influence on the global climate change observed over the past 50 years. Rapid societal responses can significantly lessen negative outcomes."

No global temperature increase in over 17 years according to the British Met.

Well they are wrong. The earth has definitely gotten hotter, without pause. If you don't understand that you are not only a liar but you are also an idiot.

Typical dumb -shit GW alarmist, disregard the data and source that contradicts your leftist regurgitation.
