I have a private group of signal to discuss about market among my fellow traders. And I have a small room with very light color walls that let me think more holistically. Believe me color of the room really matter for mental health.
I actually prefer skype, but these days people use discord more and that's where it's easier to find volume of people..... although volume doesn't matter that much, when like I said you can join a room with 20 even 1000+ people in some rooms, and still not find one quality person or at least none willing to engage.
Some people have legitimate reasons not to be on voice, like they prefer to trade alone or it truly distracts them. But a lot of people voice is extremely frightening, because your trading skill or lack there of will get exposed very quickly. Much easier just to post on text, where you can edit, use time delay, finagle your entry or exit and etc.
I think you will want to build your own room. Why would the room you are looking for want to have you? You are an unknown entity to them and likely (just on probsblilty) to be non-value add (from their perspective).

Thanks for the feedback man!Yeah, man your signals and insights to the markets were amazing, best in the business I've seen so far. If there's a place I can rate your room let me know.
I wanted to become a trader mainly because I can work alone. I was sick and tired of people and office politics. Why do I need a team? Did the writer who wrote Harry Potter need a team to write that book? If you want to work as a team, why don't you just submit your resume to Goldman Sachs instead? Lastly, I also don't want to expose my edge to other people in the team. The only person I will expose my edge is my son.
%%Like a place / small community where people actively are trading........
Any place I look it's just rooms and boards filled with text messages..... and highly generalized information. I mean that is fine ...... If I am going to be interacting with people relating to trading it's because there's a purpose and reason behind it, just speaking for myself personally.
Thanks

Here is the invite to the discord room that I am in. It is free and planning to remain free. Also has a bot that can be used to check gamma levels on tickers. https://discord.gg/FuHy5fMkYears ago we used skype. Probably better stuff out there now. 4 like minded traders day trading ES, watching the same chart trying to figure out what it was telling us. General bull shit between set-ups (lifestyles, politics, weather etc). Was a pleasant way to spend the day although I don't think we really learned anything. I think more than 4 or 5 would be too much
