Trading from home as a retail trader is a lonely pursuit and while I recognize the desire for connection with others I think the sooner you accept this, the better. I'm thinking that trading with others would only be valuable if you had the exact same methodology.
Many years ago I was hanging out in a free chat room hosted by a guy which I at the time believed to be successful. I remember discarding my own method on multiple occasions as his analysis went against it, but more than once it turned out I would have been better off following my own method.
If you want success as a day trader you need your own method/analysis which you fully trust and which you can act on very quickly. Adding other people into the mix is just a distraction.
A chat room / message board is probably better for getting new information / ideas when the market is closed or you're done for the day. And maybe it's better for swing traders and the like.
