There are a lot of similarities with the start of this thread...with a few other past posters under different aliases or user names...

style...education background...prop firm references...constant replies to defend why posting/starting the thread...

thread starter (FreedomPhighter) used the first profanity remarks via blanket statements towards EliteTrader members while at the same time expecting to get helpful answers to his/her questions...

and ALL of those past threads started the exact same way and ended the same way...

I expect this one to be no different.

Think about...would you help someone that said EliteTrader members are assholes?

NihabaAshi

Would you want help from someone who stated that you deserved an ass kicking? Notice that I said Ass Kicking and not Ass pounding (otherwise you might well answer in the affirmative). I don't care whether you are an elite trader or not....the fact remains that my question was greeted with negativity. Any high school drop out (does that include you?) knows that negativity begets negativity.

Thanks for the post...

An IQ score of 145 already qualifies you for Mensa.

Every time you post, either you drop more tidbits on your intelligence or you are defensive, two traits that clearly demonstrate your tremendous insecurities and utter lack (contrary to your protestations) of humility. Maybe you should abandon trading and go into politics.

Again, just stating the facts. As you can tell, I wouldn't be very good in politics since I am not willing to kiss every elite member's ass to get my questions answered.

I sincerely apologize to all the traders out there with mediocre educational backgrounds. On retrospect, I see how my question may have sparked feelings of insecurity and disappointment at the accomplishments of one's life. Please note that no offense was meant. I am beginning to understand what ENVY really is. I hope that each and every one of you just think for a minute and consider whether or not my question made you envious. After all, trading is about being honest with ones self. Who knows, maybe I will meet up with some of you one day when I do become a trader and am able to buy you all out ten times over.

Thanks to all those people who actually did respond with useful information (however few such responses were).

I wasted a good portion of my day with this forum. Thanks

Interesting...

Here's the 1st post reply to your 1st post...

Yes, you can get a junior trader job if you know how to pay for Starbucks and fetch sandwiches from Panera.

Here's the 2nd post reply to your 1st post...

well, your posting skills could get you a decent job as a spammer

Here's your 1st post reply to the above two posts...

Thanks for the reply.

A lot of the people on here are assholes.

Why does it piss people off so much that I posted my question to every forum on elitetrader.com? I thought that each forum was distinct since I am new on here. I don't like paying for starbucks or fetching sandwiches from Panera as an apprentice trader. I hope there are other options for me...

I appreciate your response

You truly don't see how your reaction got the thread started the way it is currently going...

had you simply stopped there...made no reference to ET members via a blanket statement by calling them assholes...

I don't think this thread would be as long as it is with the current tone.

Last of all, please don't underestimate my academic background.

Hopefully you'll have a better attitude tomorrow and start fresh with a new thread without calling anybody assholes.

P.S. Those EliteMember identification below members name you see means absolutely nothing...

their better best served via something like "Active Poster" or something like that...nothing elite about it.

Dude just go to Oxford already! It looks like you already decided anyhow so what's the point of posting it here? What if you got responses to your question that said your Oxford diploma will not help you at all with getting a trading job? You would still go to Oxford at this point anyways, right? Just stick with your decision and go. It can't hurt.

This is the best thread on ET! Grads from Ivy's are always funny. They make a fool out of themselves all the time.

LOL!!!!

Good Luck

:D trend

Come on guys, "can't we all just get along"......lol

Why is everyone in such a bad mood....a good trading day (up and down, daytrading paradise).....???

Oh well, at least I'm not the brunt of the attention!!

Don:cool:

Freedomfighter, try to get this, someone else has been hinting this too. A good trader has a thick skin and learns quickly what to do and what not to do. Not exactly traits I have been seeing on this thread. Mainly you are the one who keeps going on about this oxford thing. Do it if you want but most people here (and on any trading floor) do not think that this is all too relevant. Problem is you dont seem to get the message.
By the way i have a brother who thaught at the university in economics, so he is disciplined has intelligence and knows economics. He is the first one who would admit he could never trade.

You people seem to not get the message. I am exploring possible employment opportunities for when I graduate from Oxford. Thick skin does not mean that I will be bullied around....rather I will be defensive and let people know that they are fucking with the wrong person. I get the message loud and clear. I may not be cut out for trading but my previous experience tells me that there is potential there. Economics is a social science is it not? The whole efficient market theory flies in the face of trading for a living anyways so I don't know why an economist would expect to be good at trading if he/she plans to use economics knowledge to lead the way (modern economic theory tells us, I believe, that successful traders cannot exist....or that the existence of such traders is a low probability).

Respectfully,

This thread sure is loads of laughs...

Freedomfighter = 45 posts so far today

Wish I had your free time.

Yep. I wasted a lot of time today when I should have been on the phone with my school to sort out my loan business.
