Never even heard of birch syrup. I looked it up, and its taste is apparently different from that of maple. It would be interesting to try it. In fact, I have not had maple syrup in quite some time, but the real thing is so good it may well be addictive. A Croatian friend was taking about birch syrup they have the other day. Its basically the same I guess.
