Yet, it will only take one person from those multiple hundred people events to become severely ill from Covid-19 or worst for a lawsuit against Covidiots like that that has confirmation the person was infected at the event...

That will stop the social media misinformation / disinformation crap by these types of Covidiots that do not know or not concern with the fact that many at their protests do not know they are in the high risk group...

At least it will stop Kirk Cameron of California whom is not a public health official nor does he have any academic background in a related field of Infectious Disease.

I highly doubt is social media like you say has anything to do with the increasing numbers of people who come down with this cold/flu virus from Wuhan, China.

For one thing, the Lame Stream idiots who control social media don't even allow any opposing views like you think they do. They are just like Nazi's.

Locking up Kirk Cameron like you say is a Nazi maneuver.

What in the world are people thinking?

You do realize that people use to protest, yell, make threats about wearing seat belts when they drive a vehicle before it became law...did you know that politicians were even threaten...some would get anonymous calls that their children would be murdered ???

Now, you can get fined or arrested for not wearing a seat belt when you drive a vehicle but you have the freedom to protest it in front of a judge. :sneaky:

His investigation spurred Congress to create what eventually became the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which required all vehicles (except buses) to be fitted with seat belts in 1968.

When extreme liberal media tells you to trust the science, they know squat, the number of infections would be going down in extreme liberal states because those states have the most stringent lockdowns ever, like in California for instance. Majority of Californians are liberal so, everyone practically, wears a mask, observes social distancing and lockdowns. Yet, the infections and deaths keep rising? There is a lot of stupidity going around that is why. Enclosed public spaces like hospitals, malls, casinos etc. are full of dirty air being circulated by the airconditioning systems. Now, common sense would dictate the adoption of ultra violet technology now being used in US military bases to purity the air that people breath? One day, these idiots will figure that out. Look at the Las Vegas casinos who installed plexiglass and scrubbed slot machines and tables after each use yet, had high numbers of infected casino patrons? Again, they are focused on directions of the so called medical establishment experts. Add to that, the masks they told the public to use made of cloth have low filtration rates. Most cloth masks have no filters, those that do (I bought denim masks with sleeves for filters), probably, have no filters because it took me 3 months to get those filters. I placed multiple orders to get some. There is one order I never got so, someone probably, stole it in the mail. Take note, most cloth masks have gaps in the nose area enabling viruses and germs to easily go to your nose or mouth. Only now, when KN95 masks are available, that I switched to KN95 masks because it fit my nose and mouth very snugly with a 95% filtration rate. I bet you most Americans still have no clue about the cloth masks they are wearing and the limited protection they are actually, getting. If people were wearing the right mask, like a KN95, there probably, would be less infections and less people dying. No need to shutdown nail salons, hair salons, restaurants with outdoor dining. You are safest outdoors because the wind will dissipate any viruses and germs around you.

So when there was a huge increase in auto traffic over 40 years the fatality rate only doubled?

I find this a very low number. You would think it would of at least quadrupled! :D

And why no belts for the children riding buses? They don't care about the kids? My gawd.

I do agree the number is low but that's not the issue.

The issue is the devastation in those that survive but wasn't wearing a seat belt.

As for school buses...I'm not sure why seat belts is not mandatory nor the same with public transit buses / trains.

I do remember in drivers ed class at boarding school I asked a teacher that question when I was a teenager. She said she didn't know but maybe because those vehicles (school buses, public transit, public buses) have "less accidents" and it could be a cost issue too.

At boarding school there was a very dangerous street corner in the winter with a very big tree next to our school.

In the winter, autos would slid off the road and slam into the tree...often. Sometimes people would get serious injuries or die because they didn't wear a seat belt. In contrast, I do remember a public transit bus accident and one school bus accident into that same big tree in the winter...

Nobody was injured although they didn't have a seat belt. The worst accident occurred in an auto full of teenagers from a nearby school. One late night, they were driving 40 kph over the speed limit...car rolled over multiple times after losing control and then slammed into that big tree.

4 teens burned alive in the car and the only survivor was thrown from the car but she suffered multiple injuries including paralysis (snapped her back). None wearing seat belts but I doubt it would have helped them at that speed, multiple rollovers and then impact into a big tree.
  • My point, maybe in a passenger auto...people are less careful and drive faster ?
Seat belts do not stop car accidents but they can increase your odds of survival when you're in an accident. The more careless you are as a driver...the less chance of survival.

Just as important, its like wearing a face mask and you're infected with Covid-19...reducing your viral load when you're near family and friends.
  • You're increasing your family / friends odds of survival when you wear your face mask to minimize your viral load just in case you're infected but have no symptoms.

It's simple physics. A standard shcool bus, or municipal bus, is way way larger and carry a lot more mass than your standard Toyota Corolla, or SUV. Whatever. School busses also travel at an average speed of 30 MPH at their top speed, while peeps in their little Priusii are clocking 70-80 on the highway.

You combine these factors, along with the little tykes, if they get a bump on their knee when the Kia darts in front of the bus and gets annhilliated, will suffer no lasting injury.
 
What the Fuck...

Some California patients are now being put in the hospital "Gift Shops" because there's no more room and they could soon start using "Ration Care".
I now wonder if they're emptying out the Gift Shops or just moving best sell items into the back of the gift shops. Just as bad, now there's a shortage of beds and ventilators...again.

I don't get it...I thought the U.S. had ramped up enough beds, ventilators and PPE from the 1st wave of Covid-19.

Sadly, the vaccine will not help those now that are infected with Covid-19. Also, just as scary...the Covid-19 patients from the Christmas traveling should be starting to show up in the hospitals about now for the remainder of the month.

I would wager there are parents somewhere who wish their child had a seat belt on when their school bus crashed and their child was killed.

So if this is so, (it is), then that poor child's life was not worth the cost of having seat belts put in school busses?

How many children does it take to get killed or maimed until school buses have seat belts put in?
