Well this is where we are today, most high school grads can't count back change.

I think there is an obvious solution to this problem. Just issue college degrees to people when they get their drivers' licenses or apply for welfare. That way no one is discriminated against by racist barriers like algebra.
This is undoubtedly the next big accomplishment by the academic establishment. Previously they eliminated the ability to read or write proper English as a requirement, so ditching racist algebra seems logical ( forgive my use of the racist concept of logic).
