California Bans Trans Fats

Congratulations California. Every state should follow suit to help stem the current health/obesity epidemic in this country.



"The bill, which would end the use of oils, margarine and shortening containing trans fats to prepare foods in restaurants, bakeries, delicatessens, cafeterias and other businesses classified as “food facilities,” was written by Democratic Assemblyman Tony Mendoza, who represents an area in southern California with a large number of fast food restaurants."

The next logical step is to ban the saturated fat. Then mandate that each meal served should contain at least ~65% carbohydrate. We must stem the epidemic of diabetes of Tsunamic proportions that's about to strike the heath system of western civilization.

If people won't do it on their own, they must be 'encouraged' to choose the right path.
