California Bans Gay Conversion Therapy for Minors

This is why the governemnt gains so much power over time. Its because morons in this country doing to many dumb things like send their kids off to some crazy 'pray the gay away' place. I mean, how dumb do you have to be as a parent to think that you can flip a gay person. Thats like changing genetic code, not gonna happen.

Therapy aimed at changing the sexual orientation of minors who say they are gay has been outlawed in California, the first state to adopt such legislation. California Gov. Jerry Brown announced he had signed the bill on Sunday.
 
If some protections are provided for homosexuals, why don't the various legislatures do the same for guys who want a different wife for each day of the week?
It's discrimination!

i dont think govt should be involved in marriage at all. There shouldn't be any govt or tax or whatever benefits because of marriage and in turn, it should be left up to churches and crap to marry people and have it mean whatever the hell you want it to mean. But in public affairs marraige should be totally irrelevant.
 
Guys who want 7 wives aren't a big enough voting block.
Well, they are, they just haven't come out of the closet yet.:D

But then athiests and homos would have to start their own church in order to get married. I guess that's OK but if there were no tax or health care benifits there would be no point for them to get married.

exactly. see how simple it should be., govt stay out of marriage alltogether and homos can start thier own church and say they are married and noone gives a shit. all is well.
