Calendar Spreads

You might want to consider subscribing to the Double-Double Advisory of RedOption (of ThinkOrSwim). It is very inexpensive ($20 per month) and you can turn it off or on anytime you wish. I had it myself for several months exactly for the same reason—to get more comfortable with the mechanics of these double creatures.

Also, I would like to join you and also give a ‘shout’ to Coach and Mo to combine their talents on a separate new journal dedicated flies and B-flies. (smile!)

Thanks. I am around much of the time, on ET and the Yahoo boards, I simply do not have the extra time to be an active and a visible poster, but I do read a lot (sleeping is over rated I think…_) . As for Chicago, I already told Sarah to count me in for the June session--so I guess I'll be there too (actually, I am looking foward to it).

Just an update to my CS on the Q's.

Bot 10 Mar 40 Calls
Sold 10 Feb 40 Calls
Cost - $320

Sold 10/10 for a credit of $430
~34% after commish.

Now, all I have to do is figure out how to do this consistantly.

:)

consistancy is certainly a key:)

by the way I have come across a calendar thread from 2003 that had some very insightful and valuable comments and ideas on calendars...I don't know how to attach it to this thread....can anyone help?

Hello Dollers hasn't posted since last year...but the conversations between He..Mav and ChrisM very good imo

Thanks for the link. I had forgotten about that thread. There was some really good info in the early options posts.

However, reading through that thread reminded me of how sad this board has become. The quality of the posts and the board in general has really degenerated in the last couple of years. I miss the old days.

Of course, this thread (and a few others - Coach's for one) still give me hope. Thanks for sharing everyone.

Have a good weekend.

Hey Ambush I agree with you abt the general quality...when I first came aboard ET I was very disappointed in the level of discourse and wasn't sure there would be much info to be mined but what I've been doing...when someone who has been around says something intelligent:D I look thru their earlier threads to see what else has been discussed...many of us newby's at options are still on a learning curve that many of the experienced options traders are well beyond and I can't really blame them for going to chit-chat for their entertainment:p

edit...I think it was actually thur ChrisM that I found this thread..thanks Chris!
