Bye-bye reg T

Percy, I'm pretty sure that is what you are getting on cash balances, not your credit positions. There is a difference. In other words, if you have 100k in cash, no positions on, you will earn a money market rate on that cash. It will be detailed on your confirm. If you had a position on that took up the full 100k and had a 50k credit, I do not believe you are earning 5%. In fact, IB does not even pay 5% on your credit rates and IB is by far the best retail broker on long/short rates.

John,

Thanks for disclosing my name again. You are right. I get that rate on cash balance.

P,

I have been addressing you by your first name on this board for over a year. You want me to start calling you yip1997 from now on? LOL.

Btw, anyone can earn close to 5% on cash simply by purchasing treasury securities. They are 95% marginable. Just a little fyi for ya.

I want to be anonymous. I don't see anything wrong. But you choose to disclose others' info.

I like to be addressed by yip1997 in ET.

i wanted to thank you guy's for some compelling entertainment. since we are all venting our first names....i am frank, from connecticut and i trade future options (thus using span margin) covered very nicely imo. i feel so much better now.

Thanks, Mav.

Having some bad experience in ET, I prefer to be careful.

Is that optioncoach guy stalking you? I have a restraining order on him. :)

Domestic,

The ability of trading over haircut is one benefit of trading prop when compared to pm or span. I just opened an account with IB so I can give a better comparison with span in the future.

Trading full time with 5 accounts is a nightmare. I will consolidate my accounts after I fully evaluated the benefit of prop, pm and span.
