Buying New Monitors

I am going to buy some larger monitors for trading. I have read the higher the resolution the less eye strain you can suffer, I was looking at buy 1920 X 1080P Full HD but if I spent a bit extra I could get 2560 X 1440 QHD resolution, if I purchased the more expensive monitors do you think I would notice any difference.

At this point, I don't think it is a matter of specs anymore but the actual implementation of the maker.

Charts themselves aren't that detailed, might make it easier to read the prices maybe ??

Depends on how big and how close your going to sit I guess??

As I get older and my eyes get worse I find I need higher res tablets or I can't focus on them, Ipad Mini 1 blur city, Retina version just fine. so Maybe!!

I want an ultra wide, why did i click that link, not that bad a price my 2 screens are getting old after all.

For trading, I prefer monitors with 1920 x 1200. That extra space makes a big difference for me, and the type does not get too small.

A 32" inch that can pivot to portrait mode (may be overkill). Low Bluelight levels to prevent eye strain. If it's good enough for CAD/CAM, it's good enough for a trader.

What is VA? Some people like it over an IPS.

VA = Vertical alignment, never heard of it, but a quick search and most prefer IPS still.

Better blacks than IPS but slower response times, likely not enough to effect trading but motion blur if you watch a film on it.

1. Higher res gives you sharper images, but text is generally smaller.

2. I have 1920x1200s + 1, 2560x1440. I had to increase the font size of the 2560x1440 for easier reading. IOW... the higher res didn't buy me anything (except making the porn girls look better.)

IMHO... 1920x1200 (in 24-27" monitors) might be the ideal res for trading.
