1. Sure, in Detroit you can get one for 1K. The neighbourhood is a bit shitty though.
In real estate there is a saying: location,location,location. Now I was just joking about Kansas, rural America can be very nice and cheap too. If you are curious, use zillow.com to see certain areas.

2. That is exactly why I don't trust bitcoin's staying power. And any argument what you can use for bitcoin also can be used for the gazillion other cryptos, and nowadays first mover's advantage means shit.

I know that some of it is very nice, having driven across the continent years ago (Toronto to Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diago, Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Key West and back to Toronto via NYC if you are interested)...

Well, once I spent 8 hours driving through Nebraska. (OK, not Kansas, but close enough) Suddenly there was a sign, "Scenic View". So I pulled over out of curiosity because I was bored out of my mind of the big nothing what Nebraska is. I go up on the steps to the view point, and there it was, more corn fields miles and miles away. Fuck Nebraska...
