Buying calls for a living and arguing with derivman

Quote from tc5:

Sir, I wish you a happy weekend as well. I look forward to any new insights and thought-provoking questions that you may stumble upon in your studious study of options. This two-way exchange is most enlightening and gratifying.

You are not only a scholar, but a gentleman as well.

Good morning tc5. I thank you for your kind comments and I am happy to see that you have derived some benefit from my posts. In light of your post I will now post additional information that you may be of interest to you and other readers. Again, it is nice to converse with someone who is civil and understanding. Let me first check the other posts over the weekend and I will then reply to your good self. Cheers.

A new trader trying to quit his day job and make 10K a month on 50K capital. I think you're going to get on famously here at ET :D

Thanks for your reply cohenmichaela. I shall be making a reply later to tc5 which you may also find interesting. This may go some way to address your concerns in relation to working capital and expected returns. Cheers.

Classic assessment. Thanks for the chortle. :D :D :D :D :D

Thank you for the reply RL8093. Please see my previous post and try to stick to the topic of the thread. As I mentioned previously, some of us newbies are serious about our trading, and as such, do not take bullying and mockery lightly. If you persist to post off topic then I shall have to request the assistance of the moderators. I trust this is a fair warning. You are welcome to post in my thread once you do not stray off topic. The point of straying off topic has been brought to my attention in another thread, from which I then left, so please be courteous enough to act in a similar manner if you feel that the thread is not too your liking. Cheers.

This whole thread has, so far, been very entertaining indeed and also helped me get some great laughs. I only wish that derivman would insinuate himself into some of the other posts so we could all benefit from his astute and well researched questions :p. Personally, I can't wait for the next instalment! The only down side is that I've learnt absolutely nothing from his posts so far but as I said that's a small price to pay for the entertainment value.
What I have learnt though is that posters here are very generous with their time and tolerance of the even most tragic of noobs.
Please continue this most fine and noteworthy of exchanges, it's bound to become an ET comedy classic.

Thanks for the reply daddy'sboy. I am afraid that you are also posting off topic. Please read my last post to RL8093, as the same applies to your good self. Cheers.

Yes, "tragic" is a good decriptor. This guy needs serious psychiatric help, weird case of borderline-syndrome I think.

Ursa..

Thanks for the reply MajorUrsa. You are also posting off topic. Please read my last few posts. Cheers.

Right you are chief, let's stick to the topic! 'Buying calls for a living' has so far been very entertaining but not much of use has come up yet. Perhaps you'd like to start by contributing something noteworthy rather than continuing to say things like:
'I shall be making a reply later to tc5 which you may also find interesting.'
You might want to stick to the topic yourself or I'll have to report you to the moderator for continually being evasive and wasting people's time
Cheers :D.

Yes, a very sad individual.

Let's just hope he gets the help he needs and learns how to lead a fulfilling and useful life.

Thanks for the reply Profitaker. You are also posting off topic and as I have already complained to the mods about you already, in another thread, I do not want to do so again in case you get banned. Please stay on topic and if you want to comment you may give your opinion in relation to the articles I posted.

Do you think that Options is a Zero Sum Game or not?

Do Optionexpress know what they say, or are we to believe that one of the biggest names in Options trading is posting rubbish on its website?

Is John Suma a liar, or is it that he also knows nothing about Options ?

Does Carly Garner Research operate a successful Financial research company, or are we to also believe that this is more of the same old rubbish?

I can post the links to these articles again if you so desire. Your comments and views will be greatly appreciated. Please stay on topic. Cheers.

I have to say that to draw a conclussion of profitability based upon such a statistic (even if it were true - sheesh!) is nothing short of hilarious.

In any case Derivman you do need to brush up your 'research' skills and gain a much deeper understanding of where to go for your information & what constitutes an authoritative voice in this world of options.

You can try to refute this if you like, but you'll be going a long way to prove CBOE wrong.

Sell away buddy. Naked if you like! :D

Thanks for the reply anti ad hominem. Please watch out for my post to tc5 as it may shed some light on some your queries / concerns. Your kind thoughts are noticed but you need not worry about me. Cheers.

oh, thick ??

Whilst I thank you for taking the time to post in my thread dtan1e, I must now give you notice that if you continue to bully and mock me as a newbie, then I will have no option but to report you to the mods. Please try to stay on topic, if not you can always leave the thread and go and mock someone else, but as I have mentioned now at least six times, some of us newbies take our Options education / knowledge and trading seriously, and we are not going to allow rude people ruin it for us. Just because we are learning does not mean that we are to be treated like sub humans. Every one has the right to learn, and those that interfere with another persons learning are the ones who really need to learn the most. Cheers.
