Buying a new computer?

Quote from weeniesandbeans:

Dell told me that it will support 4 monitors.

Incorrect. Dell sales reps are notoriously ill-informed about multi monitor and especially multi card.

In case this wasn't clear, I wrote my purchase was;
Dual nVidia,Quadro FX 570 256MB dual DVI

This is 2 video cards which each have 2 video ports, each card supports 2 monitors hence, it will support 4.

"The Trouble With Pronouns"...

SawDr asked if "IT" [FX570] would support 4 monitors"...

You responded with "Dell told me IT would support 4 monitors"..

Your IT and SawDr's IT were not the same "IT"...

Becareful what they say - Dual does not necessarily mean 2 cards. Usullay they mean the card is capable of dual output/input as opposed to single output/input. Make sure its 2N°× Dual DVI Cards installed on the machine and check the card specs

I use Vista Home Pro cuz it came on my 17" laptop,with an extra 22" Acer hooked up.
I run Sierra charts and a TransAct DOM.
My CPU usage runs between 2 and 11%.
Why is Vista a "resource hog" ?
